In a world that feels increasingly disconnected, Sisterhood Shuffle was created to bring women back to creativity, kindness, storytelling, and genuine human connection — one handmade page at a time.
This is more than a snail mail club.
It’s a collaborative art movement where people from around the world create and exchange small pieces of handmade art, encouragement, and creativity with one another.
Every two months each 'sister' creates a 5x7 handmade journal pages to mail other participants in the group. Pages can be artistic, heartfelt, funny, messy, elegant, emotional, beginner-friendly, or wildly creative there are no perfection requirements here.

or little notes to their “shuffle sisters.”
Over time, each participant builds a one-of-a-kind collaborative journal filled with art and stories from women all over the community.
How It Works
Step 1 — Join the Shuffle
Sign up for Sisterhood Shuffle round through this website. You’ll create a member profile and receive updates, announcements, themes, and your shuffle group assignments through the community. You'll have your own group room to chat with your fellow sisters, pick a cadance for ship out, and encourage eachother!
Step 2 — Create Your 5x7 Page
Design one handmade 5x7 journal page (or you can do a folded sheet of 8.5x11 paper) for each assigned sister in your group. Use whatever supplies and style inspire you:

junk journaling, mixed media,

watercolor, paint, markers

vintage paper, stickers,
-
stitching, collage, scrapbook elements,

or simple handwritten creativity.
Decorate one side or both it’s entirely up to you. You may also include:

a note, a letter, encouragement,

your story, or words of kindness on the back.

stickers or flat ephemera to swap
No expensive supplies required.
No perfection expected.
Just creativity from the heart.
Step 3 — Mail Your Pages
Mail your completed pages to the sisters in your assigned group by the posted mail deadline.
We specifically picked the 5x7 finished or folded size because the pages are lightweight and compact, fit in an USPS mailable envelope, and can easily be combined once they arrive either by gluing into an A5 journal or an A5 binder. Participation stays affordable and accessible for everyone.
Step 4 — Receive Happy Mail
Soon, happy envelopes containing pieces of handmade art from another sister will arrive in your mailbox.
Each page becomes part of your growing Sisterhood Shuffle collection a collaborative journal built through creativity, kindness, and connection.
Step 5 — Join the Next Shuffle Theme
Every two months, a brand-new Sisterhood Shuffle challenge theme will be announced for the next round of creative exchanges.
Themes are like the interactive sisterhood of the traveling journal activities:

Design a sisterhood quilt block; Each participant designs a paper “quilt square” out of washi tape... when all of your quilt pieces arrive you can assemblem in your book.

Design a pocket full of kindness; Create a small handmade pocket or envelope filled with tiny surprise or quote for the other participants

Madlibs story exchange; each participants create a slip of paper with a story element, and once you receive all of your pieces, you have to develop into a story.

Design a Tag exchange; each sister would design a flat tags to sent to all of the other participants.

Create a film strip or a view finder reel of a moment in your life to share
Throughout the year, you’ll build a growing collection of handmade pages filled with art, stories, encouragement, and creativity from women all over the community.
Every Six Months
Sisters can choose to continue participating with their current shuffle group or be reassigned to a new group.To keep the experience fresh and help sisters connect with new people,allowing members to exchange with new sisters and discover new creative styles and friendships.
